IVAN MARTIN (LORENZO)

Currently, Ivan can be seen on NBC's "Ed" as the recurring character Ivan Fonseco, the shady attorney who suddenly appears in Stuckeyville with the sole purpose of making Ed's life a living hell.  He also is currently working on the upcoming Xan Cassavetes film, "Thy Sky is Green." Ivan had three films appear at Sundance this year: "Prey for Rock and Roll," with Joan Jett, Gina Gershon, Drea de Matteo and Lori Petty and directed by Alex Steyermark; "People I Know," directed by Dan Algrant, and "Rhythm of the Saints," directed by Cyn Rossi and Sarah Rogacki. Ivan can be seen with a handful of other Sundance actors in this April's issue of Details, in a feature recognizing the 2003 festival's most notable performances.

He has been seen of late in Woody Allen's "Hollywood Ending," starring Tea Leoni and Treat Williams, and "People I Know," starring Al Pacino and scripted by renowned playwright Jon Robin Baitz.  Ivan has appeared in "Georgetown," a pilot for CBS starring Helen Mirren. Starring roles recently completed are in "Funny Valentine," with Anthony Michael Hall, "The Lucky Ones," with Jeff DeMunn, Matthew Harrison's modernist adaptation of Dante's "Divine Comedy" title "The End of Eternity," and "Torn," a dark melodrama set in Spanish Harlem.

Born in Philadelphia and trained in New York City at the William Esper Studio and by Maggie Flannigan and Terry Knickerbocker, Ivan first gained recognition on stage working at many of the city's most exciting Off-Broadway houses (Soho Rep., La Mama etc., Cherry Lane Theater, Naked Angels, Rattlestick, Synchronicity Space) and was singled out as one of the outstanding performers of the 1999 season in "Backstage" Highlights alongside Dana Ivey, Nathan Lane and Martin Short, for his portrayal of Dylan in Travis Baker's "The Weatherbox."
